My finals are done and I'm officially on vacation! I wanted to post one last card before I took off for my big trip home. As soon as I saw this stamp I new I had to have it...even though it's not a Stampin' Up! stamp. Some day I'll have a summer beach house and I'll make these cards and other cute beach related cards and sell them down on the boardwalk, that's the dream at least, a girl has to have a dream. :)
Recipe:
Stamp- from a company called My Sentiments Exactly
Ink- Chocolate Chip and Lovely Lilac
Paper- Whisper White, Lovely Lilac
Accessories- N/A
This is one stamp so I used my Stampin' Up! markers to color the images.
Check back at the end of the month when I'll have lots of new cards and projects to share.

Look at my fabulous flowers!
My friend Daniel and his wife Katie sent me these gorgeous flowers in celebration of my completing my academic school year! I'm finally done, I made it through the tests, papers, daily readings, and class assignments. Now all I have left is student teaching! I wish I could make them their thank you card now, but the stamps are all packed away. I'm sure you can all guess what stamp set I will be using...FIFTH AVENUE FLORAL of course!
Thanks again guys, you're the best!!

Ask and you shall receive...
My cousin found this card on Splitcoast Stampers and wanted me to recreate it for her. All of my stamping supplies have been packed up, but I had some left over watercolored flowers from the Patty's technique that I was trying out and I was able to find the supplies I needed to make this card. I would have also added a lily like the original card has, but it is VERY windy outside right now and when I opened up the box the lily flew out. :( This card is also a little smaller than the original because I wanted to be able to fit it in a standard envelope.
Recipe:
Stamps- Fifth Avenue Floral
Ink- Whisper White Craft, Pacific Point reinker, Purely Pomegranate reinker, Kiwi Kiss reinker
Paper- Shimmery White, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Accessories- 1/4" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch
Watercolor Roses
I used Patty's watercolor rose technique. You can check out her video tutorial here, scroll down to the April 26th post. I made this card yesterday after most of my stamping supplies were packed up. I wanted to add glitter, Designer Series Paper, and ribbon, but all I had available was my cardstock. Even with my limited amount of supplies I really like how the card turned out. What do you think? Feel free to leave your comments or questions.

Minneapolis Regionals
As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator I have the opportunity to go to some fabulous events put together just for demonstrators and special guests. In April I went to the Minneapolis Regionals where I saw wonderful presentations, learned great business tips, and made some awesome projects! There were also card and scrapbook displays put up all around the room for us to "ooh and ahh over" and take pictures of. Since most of my stamping supplies have already been packed away I thougtht I would share some of the displays I took pictures of.
Check back tomorrow, I'll have more to share from Regionals!

Happy Mother's Day!
I already sent my mom her card and mini scrapbook, but I thought I would post a special card for her since I can't be with her on Mother's Day. I love you, mom! See you in 16 days!
Recipe:
Stamps- Soft Summer, All Holidays, So Swirly Jumbo Roller
Ink- Stazon, Versa Mark, Regal Rose, Barely Banana, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip
Paper- Regal Rose, Barely Banana, Watercolor paper
Accessories- Blender pen
I inked the jumbo roller in versa marker and rolled it across the Regal Rose for the background. The flowers were stamped in Stazon and then I used the blender pen to color in the image. To create a little bit of shading I outlined some of the flowers with my Regal Rose marker.

Trouble with color?
Do you ever have trouble picking color combinations for your cards or scrapbook pages? I do! I find myself sticking with the same color family (Earth Elements) no matter what time of the year it is, which can get pretty boring. Just recently I found this Color Generator on a blog that has made my life much easier. Click on any Stampin' Up! color that you want to use and the generator will automatically give you multiple suggestions that will work well with that color. For easy access I will keep this generator on the right hand side of my blog under SU! Color Combinations.
This is a card I used to make using the generator. These are not colors I would not normally use, but I love them together! This is one of the cards we will be making at my Garden Greetings Stamp a Stack, click here for more information about the event.
Card Recipe:

My Stampin' Space
I'm always interested to see people's stampin' spaces so I thought I would share mine with you. I have a small 354 sq. ft. apartment, but I've managed to set aside some space where I can create. I try to keep my things as organized as possible so I can access them quickly and easily. This picture was taken a year ago, since then I've added a few more accessories, but it's just as organized. I store my stamps in a cabinet off to the right (not shown in the picture). My Stampin' Up! cardstock is filed according to color family in a hanging file folder, also not shown.
